smart-TEC GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 1999 as a spin-off of the Rathgeber group. Our aim was to enable customers to utilise the benefits of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology through the development of custom-made tags, making the use in various industrial applications possible. We’re proud to say that’s exactly what we’ve done.
Strategic co-operations with renowned companies in the RFID industry mean that we are always up-to-date and that we can provide not only the very latest RFID technology but also advice as to the suitability for the given application.
Our close ties to Rathgeber also ensure that we have access to current product labelling techniques and technologies. Rathgeber has over 60 years of experience, making them an ideal development and production partner for tag solutions. Their production sites in Mindelheim (Germany) and Bystrice (Czech Republic) are DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 certified. Moreover, Rathgeber also works in accordance with the Environmental Management Standard (DIN EN ISO 14001:2004), a status shared with few others in the industry.
It is the smart combination of RFID technology (LF, HF, UHF) together with purpose-built tags that enable us to provide our customers with high-performance, highly durable RFID tags.
