smart-TEC GmbH & Co KG, part of the RATHGEBER Group, presents a new highlight from the smart-CARD product range: An innovative RFID plastic card with integrated green LED. The new smart-CARD combines contactless identification with an optical light effect - for faster, more intuitive processes in a wide range of industries. Optimize, accelerate and simplify logistics, maintenance, servicing and material flow processes by minimizing search times.
RFID technology rethought - with visual feedback
By combining a UHF RFID transponder with an integrated light-emitting diode (LED), the new smart-CARD LED enables visual confirmation during the scanning process. This feedback facilitates the targeted location of individual objects or components - e.g. for storage location marking, cable identification or component searches in and under machines and vehicles.
"Our LED technology takes RFID to a new level - it not only makes processes more efficient, but also makes our products more visible," says Alex Decker, Head of Product and Quality Management at smart-TEC. Varied areas of application - from technology to brand communication
In addition to classic industrial applications, the RFID plastic card with integrated LED also scores highly in branding and marketing: emblems, logos or lettering can be impressively staged aesthetically with the illuminated LED - for example in product labeling or premium packaging. The lighting effect creates unique brand experiences.
