The Packaging Act sets out requirements for product responsibility in accordance with Section 23 of the Closed Substance Cycle and Waste Management Act for packaging. The aim is to avoid or reduce the impact of packaging waste on the environment. In order to achieve this, packaging waste should be avoided as a priority and also prepared for reuse or recycling. The aim is to protect market participants from unfair competition.
In the context of these regulations, we have been focusing on reducing the packaging used for many years without negatively impacting the quality of our products. We ensure that the packaging we use is free of harmful substances, sustainable and recyclable.
We are already implementing many of the requirements of the new EU packaging regulation (PPWR). These include the increased use of recycled materials, the continuous increase in the recycling rates of our packaging and the development of sustainable packaging solutions. We are proud to be taking measures now that will only become mandatory in the future, thus making an active contribution to environmental protection. As part of our DIN ISO 14001 environmental management certification, we have established appropriate processes and control mechanisms to ensure compliance with the new EU packaging regulation and continuously improve our environmental performance.
