Episode 3: Doris Galovac, Marketing and Press Relations

When Doris Galovac started at the RATHGEBER Group 4 years ago, everything in smart-TEC marketing was on the move. A new website was waiting to go online, products were to be launched, press articles written, trade fairs planned, photo shoots organized and a social media presence established. When she thinks back, she smiles and is pleased to have joined the RATHGEBER Group at exactly the right time. "At smart-TEC, I had the chance to help shape and mold the marketing and press department from the very beginning. And that has remained the case to this day. It motivates me, it's fun and I still enjoy going to work every day."

The focus of her work is on publicizing the product portfolio and the company brand. Sounds simple, but there is a lot of work involved in this small sentence. Close collaboration with the sales, graphics and online departments and with the customers themselves is necessary.

"The exciting thing is that although everything revolves around RFID and NFC technology, the use cases couldn't be more different. That makes the work varied and you always learn something new. I familiarize myself with new topics depending on the customer order. Whether it's logistics, the rail and automotive industries, the pharmaceutical industry, retail, the drinking glass sector, the textile industry or equipment and building materials management - smart-TEC customers come from all these sectors and many more.

A marketing carefree package, as Doris Galovac calls the services offered, rounds off the sales advice and support. In this way, smart-TEC customers are supported from the initial inquiry through to consultation, implementation and project follow-up.

"My aim is to explain the diversity of RFID and NFC technology in a simple and understandable way - and to do so on behalf of the entire RATHGEBER Group."

Although there is a lot on her plate every day, she has one motto: strength lies in tranquillity. She draws this strength from nature and the mountains. Hiking is a fixed part of her and her family's program. With so many mountains and lakes in Bavaria, there is more than enough to choose from.

Three questions for Doris Galovac, which she answers spontaneously:

Question 1: What does a typical working day at smart-TEC look like?

Doris Galovac: "My morning almost always starts the same. I sit at my desk at around 8 a.m. and check my emails and other communication channels. Then I plan my day and work through my to-do lists. But last-minute requests are also on the agenda almost every day. As well as editorial and marketing meetings, meetings with sales and product management."

Question 2: What was your favorite project at smart-TEC and why?

Doris Galovac: "That's a mean question. Basically, I like all projects. However, my favorite projects are the ones where we can show all our know-how. A good example is 3B-Scientific. The international company commissioned us to produce NFC labels to identify their lifelike anatomical models. Among other things, the NFC label was to be printed, contain a visually appealing hologram, a unique serial number and a QR code. In addition, our IDconnect software solution was integrated to ensure a smooth registration process. It is now possible for students and teachers to immerse themselves in the virtual world of anatomy with just one tap. Virtual meets reality - that's the future."

Question 3: How would you describe yourself in 3 words?

Doris Galovac: "Committed. Motivated. Creative."

Finally, Doris Galovac reveals her fun fact:

"Everything will be fine in the end. If it's not good yet, it's not the end. (from Oscar Wilde :-))"
