Erik Wagner acts as "Head of Internal Sales" at smart-TEC with over 8 years of experience in the company as a crucial link between sales, customers and production.

Episode 9: Erik Wagner, Head of Internal Sales

In his role, he sees himself not just as an executive employee, but as a problem solver who is always ready to support both customers and colleagues. His responsibilities are varied and extend far beyond daily routine tasks. He also always has the well-being of the entire group of companies in mind.

After successfully completing his dual degree in retail management, he spent around 10 years in the DIY store industry, where he worked as a logistics manager and most recently as deputy store manager. He was never able to hide his affinity for technology, which ultimately led to his decision to join smart-TEC.

In addition to his internal sales tasks, he has also made important contributions to the RATHGEBER CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) team over the past three years. He is currently taking on a new additional role as AI Coordinator for the entire RATHGEBER Group. He likes to think his way into new things quickly. For him, figures and data are not just numbers, but important tools for making decisions and optimizing processes.

"What counts in the end is that the customer is satisfied, and all activities must be geared towards this."

Aside from his professional activities, Erik Wagner is interested in a wide range of topics, including of course his family, his private aquaponics system in the garden, politics, ecology, artificial intelligence, technical developments in general, movies, sport and a wide variety of craft projects.

Three questions for Erik Wagner, which he answers spontaneously:

Question 1: What does a typical working day at smart-TEC look like?

Wagner: You never know what the day will bring. In addition to the prioritized processing of internal and external inquiries, the working day includes numerous meetings and discussions on a wide variety of topics. There's never any idle time, but of course there's always room for fun. As a team, we all pull together.

Question 2: What is your favorite project at smart-TEC and why?

Wagner: I like projects that are based on an innovative idea that makes people's lives easier or safer. We find these projects in many sectors, for example in local public transport.

Question 3: How would you describe yourself in 3 words?

Wagner: humorous, conscientious, helpful
