Sebastian Grüttner

Episode 4: Sebastian Grüttner, Business Development Manager

In sales, customer contact is close to his heart, says Sebastian Grüttner, who has been on board at smart-TEC for almost a year. Learning new things, broadening his horizons and accompanying customers from the initial idea to the finished RFID or NFC solution is the best thing about this job for him.

"For me, it's important to support customers in getting the right RFID or NFC solution. The fact that this makes the world faster and more digital is a nice side effect."

At smart-TEC, he is particularly excited by the task of developing cross-company solutions. The combination of beautifully designed RATHGEBER products with smart-TEC's RFID and NFC functionality is an unbeatable combination for customers, as it gives them the best of both worlds. Sebastian Grüttner is completely convinced by IDconnect. The web app offers the ideal software solution for many industries.

"In consultations and customer meetings, it becomes clear how well and flexibly IDconnect can be used. This will play a major role in Industry 4.0 in the future."
"I have been practicing martial arts professionally for about 10 years. In addition to my own competitions, I also work as a Thai boxing coach. Thai boxing is often like other areas of life and work. Only those who have the discipline and the will will achieve their goals. My favorite quote, which I share 100%: Success is not luck, but only the result of hard work!

Three questions for Sebastian Grüttner, which he answers spontaneously:

Question 1: What does a typical working day at smart-TEC look like?

Sebastian Grüttner: "I'm usually the first person in the office in the morning. Then I check the latest e-mails and open calls from the previous evening. I use the first hour to work through issues that require my full concentration and attention. I then take care of ongoing customer projects and communication with the sales representatives. In the evening, I then plan my next day so that I can get started in the morning without any delays."

Question 2: What is your favorite project at smart-TEC and why

Sebastian Grüttner: "My favorite project is the smart-SENSOR BodyTemp, a sensor label that allows you to continuously measure and digitally record your body temperature. For smart-TEC, it is the first step in the direction of sensor technology, in which IDconnect is being used and further developed at the same time. I was involved right from the start, was able to contribute my knowledge and learned a lot at the same time."

Question 3: How would you describe yourself in 3 words?

Sebastian Grüttner: "Ambitious, fun-loving, curious."
