Episode 1: Stefan Scheller, Sales Manager

When we asked Stefan Scheller what he particularly likes about his job, the answer came like a shot. "The different projects," says the 38-year-old family man. "My team and I work hand in hand. My job is my passion and I have the ambition to implement the perfect RFID/NFC solution with our customers."

Stefan Scheller has been Sales Manager at smart-TEC in Oberhaching for around three years, and has been with the RATHGEBER Group itself for ten years.

When he started out as a Business Development Manager, he was particularly excited by the challenge of finding the right solution for every project. And that is still the case today, whether in the IoT or Industry 4.0 environment. Individual customer and industry conditions and special requirements have to be taken into account for almost every project. The RFID and NFC transponders from smart-TEC fit into our customers' digitalization and automation projects like a precision cogwheel. Whether highly impact-resistant, chemical-resistant or with special coding, it is the combination of different properties that has made smart-TEC a globally established provider.

Whether a customer comes from the chemical or railroad industry, from the B2C or B2B sector - thanks to smart-TEC's diverse product portfolio and the flexibility of the RATHGEBER Group, smart-TEC always finds the right solution.

"We are the interface between customers, RFID development and production."

Another of Stefan Scheller's passions is the volunteer fire department. He has been volunteering here for over 20 years and has made it all the way to senior firefighter. "My voluntary career with the fire department has always helped me professionally. Projects that go awry can be quickly steered back on track with the same management mechanisms as in an operation."

Three spontaneous questions for Stefan Scheller:

Question 1: What does a typical working day at smart-TEC look like?

Stefan Scheller: "We attach great importance to reliable availability for our external and internal customers. The first thing I do in the morning is check our communication and collaboration tools and my diary. Based on this, I determine a rough structure for the day. I also plan free time for important tasks."

Question 2: What was your favorite project at smart-TEC and why

Stefan Scheller: "There really are many and the nice thing is, just when you think you've reached the highlight of your professional career, a new project comes along that excites me even more. I particularly enjoy projects that are meaningful and benefit everyone involved. Most recently, these were projects in the rail sector in which the entire track network and safety-relevant components were made identifiable by the RATHGEBER Group using modern AutoID technology."

Question 3: How would you describe yourself in 3 words?

Stefan Scheller: "Committed, innovative and solution-oriented."

Finally, Stefan Scheller reveals his fun fact:

"There is a solution for everything :-)"
