Atmosphères Explosibles (ATEX)
15.01.2024Industrial transponders in potentially explosive environments are subject to strict safety requirements.

ATEX stands for "Atmosphères Explosibles" and refers to the two EU directives (94/9/EC and 99/92/EC) that define the safety requirements for equipment and protective systems in potentially explosive atmospheres. These directives apply to companies operating in potentially explosive atmospheres, such as chemical plants, oil refineries, mines, oil and gas production plants and other industrial facilities where flammable gases, vapors or dusts may be present. We are talking about potentially explosive air mixtures that can occur where flammable liquids or gases are processed.
smart-TEC RFID transponders are certified for explosion-proof areas and are used wherever flammable dust, dust-air mixtures or gases occur temporarily or during normal operation.Read the full report and find out more about possible sources of danger, what the ATEX directives contain, what requirements apply to industrial transponders in explosion-protected areas and how smart-TEC impresses with comprehensive certification and production Made in Germany.
