Beacon Nameplates
The smart-BEACON Plate is a digital nameplate based on Bluetooth® Low Energy (BLE). It enables the unique identification, digital management, and near real-time localization of machines, equipment, assets, and other objects. In addition, status, movement, and environmental data can be captured to make processes more transparent and increase efficiency in production, logistics, and service.
Activation and Battery Concepts
The digital nameplate is available as a BLE solution or in combination with RFID. Depending on the application, various activation concepts are available, such as via pull tab, NFC, UHF-RFID, or magnetic switch.
For maximum flexibility, different battery types can be used - from ultra-thin variants for space-constrained applications to high-performance batteries for exceptionally long runtime. Battery life begins only upon activation during project operation. Transmission interval, transmission power, data format, and other parameters are individually configured to optimally tailor range, runtime, and performance to the specific application.
Customization and Sensors
The smart-BEACON Plate can be customized to meet specific customer requirements in terms of shape, size, material, mounting method, and printing. Thanks to its robust radio performance, it is ideally suited for identification in metallic environments. It is optionally available with integrated sensors, for example, for temperature, humidity, vibration, or pressure. This allows relevant status data to be collected and made available digitally in addition to identification and localization.
