A digital nameplate is either a metal nameplate or a robust plastic plate with integrated RFID/NFC technology. The "digital twin" and the "digital product passport" are important topics throughout the industry in the context of Industry 4.0 and IoT. The unique identification of machines, devices and systems using a digital type plate is a prerequisite for this. All information relating to a machine, such as maintenance plans, maintenance histories or installation instructions, is stored in the central company software. When the 2D code or RFID/NFC chip on the digital type plate is read, the relevant information is made available online.

Our digital rating plate combines the advantages of robust, durable, long-lasting and visual identification with the digital possibilities of RFID/NFC technology. Like traditional metal nameplates, the digital nameplate can also be engraved, printed on and finished. The plastic version also allows for flexible mounting using adhesive, rivets or cable ties.

International DIN standards and global standards

Every industry has different requirements, application scenarios, legal regulations and value creation processes. Standards are important in order to meet the requirements of global networking of all companies involved in a value chain.

We are familiar with all standards and norms and can therefore design and print our digital nameplate in accordance with the applicable industry standards and cross-manufacturer DIN standards and program the chip.

An example of the internationally standardized design and programming of a digital nameplate comes from the chemical and process industry. Here, for example, the IEC61406-1 standard applies, which refers to the DIN-SPEC 91406 standard.
