Digital Product Passport
The origins of the DPP can be found in the EU Commission's "Green Deal". The European Union has set itself the ambitious goal of becoming the first climate-neutral continent. With the DPP, it is possible for the first time to make economic processes transparent and environmentally friendly in such a comprehensive way and thus work towards a circular economy in which resources are used in the most environmentally friendly way possible. In this way, the entire product life cycle can be made sustainable in the long term.
IDconnect: Our software solution for easy implementation of the Digital Product Passport (DPP)
IDconnect has been specially developed to easily implement the requirements of the DPP in every company. Every company must provide information about the origin, composition, materials and disposal options of a product throughout its entire life cycle. This information must be easily and digitally accessible for every customer.
You want our team to inform you more in detail?
Our solution: IDconnect
How the integration process works:
At the beginning of the value chain, the manufacturer's product is uniquely identified with an NFC transponder or a QR code. The globally unique identification number is stored in the IDconnect software solution so that the product and software are unmistakably linked.
The NFC transponder or QR code is read at various transfer points along the entire value chain. The corresponding software page opens and the necessary data can be stored promptly and unalterably.
All legally required information is stored in IDconnect and can be retrieved by reading the NFC transponder or QR code by anyone involved in the product life cycle right through to the end customer.
With IDconnect, all relevant product information is always up-to-date and easily accessible, ensuring compliance with the legal requirements for the Digital Product Passport.
Benefits for consumers and companies
The collection of information provided by the Digital Product Passport also supports entrepreneurs and producers in the economic optimization of their own manufacturing process. For example, the comprehensive analysis of the materials used quickly reveals where resources can be saved in the manufacturing process. Supply chains are also comprehensively analyzed by the DPP and checked for economic factors.
