smart-TEC expands its ATEX-certified product range
smart-TEC has expanded in collaboration with Bureau Veritas the ATEX certification for the products smart-DOME Classic and smart-DOME Freestyle also optional with IECEx conformity. Depending on operation purpose, seven different chips can be implemented.
The ATEX certification according to equipment category 2 confirms the operational fitness in explosive environments of zones 1 respectively 21. For gas the products of smart-DOME series correspond to the temperature class T6 up to 85°C. In a dust atmosphere with T80 the protection of dust explosions is guaranteed up to an ignition temperature of 80°C. There are also versions for metallic surfaces available.
The transponders can be used in all surroundings in which temporarily or permanent dust or dust/air mixtures or gases occur. They are available in various frequencies, colours and shapes as well as mounting options. Each transponder is labelled with a unique identity according ATEX policy for traceability.
